Father Darren Reid BA (Hons), STB (Bachelor of Sacred Theology) originates from Denaby Main in South Yorkshire and is a priest of Hallam Diocese.
He studied Social Policy and Administration at Portsmouth Polytechnic, before arriving at Valladolid to study for the priesthood in 1988. He completed his formation for priesthood in 1995, gaining an STB. He was ordained priest at St. Marie’s Cathedral, Sheffield in the summer of the same year.
Since ordination he has worked in parishes in Chesterfield, Sheffield and Doncaster, gaining variety of pastoral experience. He spent six years as Diocesan Vocations Director and has worked part-time as a Pastoral Lecturer and Tutor at Ushaw College near Durham from 2009 to 2011. He joined the College staff at Valladolid in 2011.
In 2016 he moved to St Peter in Chains, Doncaster, as Parish Priest and its satellite Parishes.
